We’re delighted to announce that Cinderford Town has been accepted into the Junior Premier League for the 2018/19 season and in doing so have become the first, and only, Forest of Dean club to be accepted into the JPL.

For the 2018/19 season we will be entering an Under 17 team, we will then be looking to add additional age groups in the 2019/20 season.

Following this year, which has been our most successful year since forming 6 years ago, we believe that this is the right move for the club to give players in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas the best platform for players to develop moving forward.

Why the Junior Premier League?

The Junior Premier League (JPL) looks to bridge the gap between grassroots football and academy football, working with clubs who want to develop their players.  For more information on the JPL please visit their website at https://juniorpremierleague.com/

Under 17s

We’re delighted that the club will be running a new Under 17 side this year and are therefore looking for the very best current Under 16 players in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas to join the club.  Current Under 15 players are also welcome to trial if they believe that they are up to the challenge that playing up a year in the JPL represents.

Cinderford Town Youth Football Club was setup with the intention of getting more local players into the first team squad at Cinderford Town and we’re delighted that we have had 6 players make first team debuts in the past 2 years, but we are also keen to increase the quality of players we are able to provide to the first team and produce more players who become first team regulars.  We are in the very fortunate position to have Paul Michael as first team manager who embraces giving youth players a chance, if they are good enough.

Open Trials

Cinderford Town will be running open trials for the Under 17s and all players must register in advance to be considered.  To register, please complete the form below and we will be in touch to confirm dates and all the other information.
