Cinderford Town Under 8s produced an impressive performance to overcome Hucclecote Hawks in the semi final of the Gloucester Youth Leagues Rob Dawe cup.

Having already knocked out local rivals Lydney Town and Puma Juniors, Cinderford came up against their toughest opponents yet and in an extremely tight encounter that went all the way to penalties all the players held their nerve to progress to the final. Many of the players have been with the club since they were 4/5 so it’s a great testament to how they’ve developed in their time at Cinderford Town, 3 of the players were even at the very first training session the club did as 4 year olds just over 3 years ago.

The Under 8s will now face Abbeymead Lions in the final on April 25th.

It caps a successful season so far for the club with the Under 12s also making the semi finals of the cup before losing to Longlevens Lions, the Under 11 Colts currently sitting top of their league and on the verge of reaching the cup semi final and the Under 10s and Under 8 Colts also in the cup semi finals in a few weeks.
