The FA have now relaxed their ruling on 6 year olds playing football.  Previously Under 6 players have not been allowed to play organised matches for local sides until August the 31st of the year that they turned 6.

The ruling now allows players to play from the day that they turn 6 instead of having to wait until next season.

For some children this will mean that they are able to start playing games earlier than previously allowed.

This will take effect for the 2014/15 season.
