Cinderford Town Youth FC are delighted to announce that we have struck an agreement with Forest High School and SGS Academy for the use of the Forest High School field as a central venue for Cinderford Town football club going forward.
The agreement means that we have exclusive access along with the school to the ground which will allow us to put multiple youth football pitches at the site and will mean that we can finally get all of our teams playing in Cinderford at the same venue.
With the addition of this venue alongside our lease of the 3G astro turf pitch at the same venue and the Causeway a stones throw away, we believe this will give the club an unbelievable set of facilities for youth football in the Forest of Dean.
As you will all be aware the field is currently extremely damaged by wild boar, however a brand new boar proof fencing will be installed by a Forestry Commission contractor week commencing June 7th with the surface being totally stripped back and relaid by Moat contracting shortly afterwards. With the removal of the existing cricket strip happening in the next few days, we hope that by September we have a brand new, perfect surface for our youth teams to play on.
All of the above obviously has costs which we are looking to fund raise for. We are aiming to do this in several ways.
Football Marathon – Firstly the club will be running a Football Marathon and Presentation day on Saturday June 26th. This will be a sponsorship event and the club will aim to play football non stop for 12 hours on the astro turf pitch, this will be spread across the age groups and we will be looking for players to get sponsored. Sponsorship forms will be passed to coaches shortly. After your side has completed their leg of the marathon there will be an end of season presentation for each team.
Forest Lottery – The club has setup a brand new lottery for the club, parents and family members as well as the general public can enter the lottery and get the opportunity to win up to £25,000 alongside supporting the clubs fundraising effort. You can purchase tickets at the following link…

Cinderford Town Council – We’re delighted to say that Cinderford Town Council have supported this financially already and are working hard to continue to support the club and it’s players in term of grants and backing.
