Many thanks to all those who have registered for trials to play for Cinderford Town in 2020/21. We’ve had nearly 50 new players register in total so far which is great given the current circumstances everyone is facing.
Due to the current situation, the club has made the decision to change the way that we are doing trials this year. Clearly we aren’t in a position currently where trials can take place yet, however we are hoping with restrictions easing we are not too far away from this.
A decision has been made to alter the trials in the following ways..
Under 8s to Under 12s
A decision has been taken not to run trials in these ages for this season. Instead any new players who have an interest in joining the club can register on our New Players form and all players will be invited to training when our teams begin their training sessions. Those who have already registered in these age groups will have their details passed on to the coaches who will be in touch when training starts.
Under 13s to Under 18s
Trials will continue in these age groups however this will not be until we are given the go ahead by the Football Association and even then there will be strict social distancing measures in place. These will include…
- Only one age group will trial at any one time and depending on government restrictions these sessions may be split up to limit numbers in each group
- Parents will be asked to drop players off and remain away from the session to restrict numbers at the session. Parents of new players will be able to come up and speak to coaches, however this will need be done following social distancing guidelines.
- There will be a minimum of 30 minutes between sessions and different equipment will be used for each session
The above may change dependant on government guidelines when contact training sessions are once again allowed but all information will emailed to parents in advance. If you have a child that would like to play for Cinderford Town but is currently shielding or have concerns over starting football in the current climate, please email committee@cinderfordtownyouthfc.co.uk and we will accommodate players wherever possible.
We ask that only players who register attend the sessions so that we know how many will be attending and can ensure that the numbers in sessions are managed. If you are wishing to join Cinderford Town next season, then please ensure that you register in advance below…

Under 17s – Cheltenham Youth League
Under 16s – Junior Premier League

Under 14s – Cheltenham Youth League
Under 13s – Junior Premier League
